More than 2,000 UK homes left without power after power cut hits during freezing weather. Thousands of homes in the South East of England have been experiencing power cuts, as the cold Arctic wave sends temperatures plummeting across the UK.

Several districts of southern Paris were plunged into darkness on Thursday night due to a power outage tied to a technical glitch on an electrical transformer of energy supplier Enedis.
